Food Quality & Safety

Food Quality & Safety is a huge concern for the world’s consumer & commercial food suppliers. And with near-constant pressure for faster, cheaper and safer processes, there is an ever-present risk of contamination.

Bigmate is partnering with the world’s biggest food processors to limit the risk of food-borne illness.

Our AI and Machine Learning technology gives food processors an effective tool that is unrivalled when it comes to making fast, accurate decisions that can affect vast swathes of the population.

Why Bigmate for Food Quality & Safety?

  • Reduce Health Incidents & Recalls

  • Improve Throughput & Yield

  • Save Money

Temperature Assessment

Thermy was built to do the messy, unpredictable and time-draining work of assessing temperature in food products.

It solves a number of the problems that plague traditional temperature approaches.

Instead of using unreliable surface or probe samples which can miss cold or hot spots, Thermy provides 100% coverage.

It does this by combining thermographic readings with hyperspectral imagery and applying AI and machine learning to identify depth and temperature and then provide an assessment based on the type of food, its acceptable parameters and the scale of impact.

Quality & Composition

Hyperspectral cameras, teamed with Bigmate’s proprietary AI-powered HySpec algorithms allow businesses to see

  • Recognise known contaminants such as foreign bodies, faeces and bacteria

  • Identify how much of a cut is comprised of the expected/most desirable components.

  • Raise coded alerts for immediate attention

  • Confidently perform quality control activities in real time.

Volume Analysis

Bigmate’s Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) algorithms can enable businesses to accurately assess the volume of a many unique objects at the same time as they move along the production line.

This means that operations can get a real understanding of actual volume, which can be critical in measuring changes in state and for packaging/shipping.
